Day 1: They look perfect! They will also NOT STAY THIS DARK, BOLD, or THICK. Don't panic!
-
Day 2-4: Your brows will look darker and more bold than expected - this is normal and your brows will not stay this dark.
-
Day 4-7: The skin is flaking and scabbing - do not pick it! This will ruin your brows.
-
Day 8-10: Your brows have lightened a LOT - this is normal and the color will continue to darken over the next 4-8 weeks.
-
Week 2-4: The color is back! It is normal to want them darker or thicker at this state.
-
After your brows are fully healed, you may schedule an 8 week touch up if you would like to alter the brows or darken the color.

Brows FAQ

I just had my appointment yesterday and my brows are too dark! What should I do?
-
It is normal to feel "brow shock" right after your appointment. However, your brows will NOT stay as dark as they look when you leave - they will fade substantially.
My brows have faded a LOT during the healing process. Is this normal?
-
Yes! As explained in the aftercare instructions, the brow healing process goes through a darkening, flaking, and lightening phase. It is important to let the brows go through this process before you assess the final, healed product at about 4-8 weeks post-appointment.
What if I want to make a change to my brows?
-
Any changes, including darkening/changing color, changing shape, adding strokes, etc., is done at your 8-week touch up. We cannot do anything to your brows until they are 100% healed (8 weeks or after), as touching up your brows too soon will damage your skin.
My brows are flaking. What should I do to lessen this?
-
This is a 100% normal part of the healing process. DO NOT PICK at the skin or flaking, as this will pull the pigment out and ruin your brows! Continue your aftercare morning and evening and apply ointment midday if you feel they are very dry.
Can I see another artist at your studio for my touch-up?
-
Your artist understands your preferences based on your discussion at your first appointment and can make any changes or adjustments that you would like. If you have more detailed questions, please email simone@jbebeauty.com.

We cannot, under any circumstances, make changes to or touch up your brows before 8 weeks. This would severely damage your skin and brows!
